Thank you for your interest in Active Minds at York (AM@Y).

We are a chapter of a larger organization that works to improve the lived campus experiences of those suffering mental health disorders. We run mental-health positive events as well as providing on-campus education aimed at reducing stigma.

There is a complete student executive who manage our budget, maintain our status as a York Federation of Students (YFS) club, and plan our events. Any general member is eligible to run in our elections, which happen in the spring, as well as cast votes in the election.

Our general members help us run everything from set up, tear down, idea generation, research, and advertising. There are no requirements needed to join our club. That being said, we do not expect a certain time commitment from general members. As general members you make or break the success of the club and we appreciate all that you do!

If you would like to receive a certificate, you will need to attend at least 4 events or be active for a minimum of 13 hours, whether that is tabling, postering, or volunteering at our big events.

You are welcome to volunteer in our upcoming events. You will be added to our listserv where we send all our emails to our general members and volunteers. For more updates, please follow us on any of our social media pages (Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram).
